IV型刚性防水套管适用于饮用水水池防水套管的安装，在石棉水泥填打完毕以后进行，填嵌密封膏时，应保证缝内各接触面无锈蚀，漆皮，污物，且干净，干燥。

柔性防水套管一般适用于管道穿过墙壁之处受有振动或有严密防水要求的构筑物；穿墙处之墙壁，如遇非混凝土时应改用混凝土墙壁，而且必须将套管一次凝固于墙内；防水套管施用于建筑、钢铁、化工、自来水、污水处理等单位。
      万工股份管道穿越基础、内墙、楼板等处时，避免管道使用时，对建筑物造成扰动，同时便于管道的安装与维修，设置的、大于安装管道外径的、材质与长度均符合要求的、安装在基础、内墙、楼板等管道穿越处短管。
      万工股份普通套管，多用焊接管制成，套管两端应机械裁口，对壁厚要求不严。
      万工股份管道穿越地下室等有防水要求的建筑物、构筑物时，设置的特殊制作的套管。常用刚性防水套管。刚性防水套管，需在套管外焊接止水环翼，对套管的壁厚、环翼的壁厚都有严格的要求，并应保证焊缝质量。
      万工股份管道穿混凝土构造的剪力墙基础、穿梁、穿异型柱时，应随土建一齐安装。原因是，预留孔洞后，套管与混凝土之间的二次浇注不好处理；有的无法处理，如地下室基础混凝土剪力墙上安装刚性防水套管。

指管道穿混凝土楼板、普通砖墙时，一般都在混凝土楼板上预留孔洞，普通砖墙可以后凿过墙眼。楼板处，在安管道之前，掉通线、安装套管。砖墙上，画线、栽设支架，找好坡度，安装套管。
